Why use the Montana Tobacco Quit Line?

  • People who use the Quit Line are up to 10 times more successful than those who try to quit on their own.
  • The success rate is 40% for participants who receive both coaching and CHANTIX.
  • Those who successfully quit reduce their risk for stroke, heart disease and a number of cancers and other diseases.
  • The risk of heart attack decreases the very first day without tobacco.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services contracts with National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Colorado to operate our quit line.

This organization is a nationally renowned respiratory care center that operates a quit line for several other states.
